Welcome to Jing Si Books & Cafe OUG, a serene haven nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at 38, Jalan Awan Hijau, Taman Overseas Union. This unique cafe transcends the typical coffee shop experience, offering an ambiance that promotes tranquility and mindfulness, making it the perfect retreat for readers, students, and those seeking a moment of solitude.

As you step inside, a calming aroma of tea mingles with the scent of pages from the books that line the walls, creating an inviting atmosphere that makes you want to unwind and stay awhile. It's not just about the beverages here; the cafe encourages a hushed reverence for the written word and the beauty of quiet contemplation.

Every visit to Jing Si Books & Cafe is akin to a refreshing journey. The menu highlights a selection of teas, like their delectable pomelo tea with yuzu syrup, offering a sweet yet tangy experience that dances on your palate, accompanied by two light crackers—a delightful pairing for a soothing afternoon. Though food options are limited to light snacks and healthy offerings like the multi-grain paste, the focus is on elevating the tea experience rather than overwhelming patrons with a plethora of choices.

This is not just a cafe; it's a contemplative space where patrons are encouraged to remove their shoes upon entry, with shoe bags provided for convenience, adding an extra layer of homeliness to your visit. The decor is simple yet elegant, with comfortable seating that invites prolonged enjoyment of your tea and a good book.

Customer reviews reflect this sentiment perfectly. Regulars rave about the calm and peaceful environment, making it an ideal spot for studying or working, with M H mentioning easy access to Wi-Fi and power sockets, allowing you to plug in and focus. Chow Xian Tan declares it their weekly study spot, which speaks volumes about the conducive atmosphere for concentration. Similarly, Ching Shan Lim notes it as a meditative space—just perfect for some well-deserved alone time, though perhaps not the best place for boisterous hangouts with friends.

For those who appreciate a harmonious blend of literature and fine tea, Jing Si Books & Cafe OUG is more than just a cafe; it’s an experience that nourishes the mind and soul. So whether you are in search of a quiet retreat or a unique place to sip tea and delve into your favorite book, Jing Si Books & Cafe awaits to serve you with warmth and serenity.

Good environment, quiet place for reading / studying / working. Must order 1 drink each person. Ordered the pomelo tea (with yuzu syrup), and comes with 2 crackers. Good luck in munching it as quietly as you can Require to take off shoes - shoe bag is provided in front of the glass door before entry, so you may bring in the shoes in the shoe bag with you.

Very quiet & medidated place to stay if you want some alone time! Tea set is in affordable price! However, hangout with friends over there not a good idea if you gonna chit chat whole day long!

A scholarly cafe infused by book and tea aroma, calm and relax. They do not have coffee and food, just some tea and light snack. We tried the multi grain paste and it is not as sweet and thick as the tongshui out there, much healthier and I like it. Have to take off shoes and keep in a bag provided. Limited seating. They also sell some items such as handmade soap, cutlery, paste powder etc.

Great ambience and great chinese tea. They also serve oat and paste drinks which are really healthy and filling! Very cooling environment but not too cool til wearing a jacket. Owner speaks perfect mandarin and English too. She is very kind and very attentative. Not completely silent with the perfect amount of cafe-like background sounds perfect for students to study and adults to relax!

A serene space with a calm, quiet, and cozy ambiance. Perfect for unwinding and reading. While the limited beverage menu may lack variety, the quality and relaxing atmosphere make up for it.
